On June 21, 2013 the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic presented the exhibition of the Petrykivka Decorative Art "Petrikivka painting – the color of a tradition".
The numerous visitors of the exhibition have been acquainted with the unique painting technique and the features of Petrykivka art. The President of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO Mrs. Maria-Ekaterini Papachristopoulou-Tzitzikosta participated in a master-class, which has been organized by the craftswomen of the Petrykivka Painting Mrs. Tatiana Harkava and Mrs. Ludmyla Bryzha.
Appreciating the level of cultural cooperation between Ukraine and Greece, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Volodymyr Shkurov presented the diploma and the memorable gift for Greek actor, director of the Modern Theater of Athens G.Messalas, who took part in the Kiev Festival "Vidlynnia" with a performance of “The Diary of a Madman” by N.Gogol.
The exhibition of the Petrykivka Art, that is the contribution of Ukraine to the activities of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage at the occasion of the celebration its 10th anniversary, will be open at the Cultural Center of the Embassy to July 15, 2013.
