On July 23, 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Volodymyr Shkurov in response to an official invitation of the authorities of the TinosIsland took part in the celebration of the occasion of Day of the Saint Pelagia.

During his stay on the named island, Ambassador V. Shkurov held meetings with the Metropolitan of the Metropolis of Syros, Tinos, Andros, Kea and Milos Dorotheos II, Mr. Panagiotis Kyriakos, the Mayor of Tinos and Mr.  Giannis Macheridis, the Governor of the South Aegean Region. During the meetings Issues of development of Ukrainian-Greek regional cooperation as well as the strengthening of communications between OrthodoxChurches of Ukraine and Greece were discussed.

On the development of the contacts between the Union of industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Tinos and Mykolaiv State Region Administration of Ukraine, Ambassador met with the representatives and the Unions` President Mr. Andreas Tsimekas.
