On August 12, 2013 the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Mr. Evgen Udod met in Athens with the leadership of the European Association for Territorial Cooperation "AMFIKTYONIA" – President Mr. Dimitris Argianas, Director Mr. Vasilis Ksenos-Gabrielis and the employees of the organization.

During the meeting the issues of the development of regional cooperation and joint projects as well as the prospects for partnership in the framework of the creation Agency of Local Democracy of Dnipropetrovsk Region (The draft of Memorandum has been handed to the Greek side) were discussed. The sides agreed on the priority of the work of cooperation between civil society and local authorities, as well as sharing of best practices in this area.

The leadership of the European regional organization has expressed full support for the European integration of Ukraine and signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and underlined that considers the participation as a partner on the Agency of Local Democracy of Dnipropetrovsk Region is very perspective.

As was mentioned, a corresponding proposal will be on the agenda of the Meeting of Administrative Board, scheduled for the end of August.
