On October 9, 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic  Volodymyr Shkurov took part in the ceremony of consecration of the Chapel on the site of the plain crash of Ukrainian passenger plane " Yak- 42" , which took place near the Thessaloniki on December 17, 1997.

Consecration of the Chapel, which was built by Alexander Leonidovych Zhelyaskov in the honor of his mother  and all died in a plane crash in 1997, has been made in the presence of relatives of the victims and representatives of the regional authorities of Pieria by Metropolitan of Odessa and Izmail Agafangel and Metropolitan of Berea, Naousa and Kambani Panteleimon.
