On October 18, 2013 on behalf of the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Volodymyr Shkurov with the Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Petro Tolochko and Director of the Publishing house „ADEF-Ukraine” Ihor Shpak in the framework of the presentation in Athos capital the Peresopnytsia Gospel passed the facsimile copy of named Gospel as a gift to the  Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew.

Taking the edition of the Peresopnysia Gospel with the filling of deep emotion, the Ecumenical Patriarch expressed his sincere gratitude to the Ukrainian President and noted his pleasure of the opportunity to receive as a gift „the copy of invaluable sanctuary, Ukrainian First Book and symbol of the Orthodox revival of the Ukrainian people”.
