On January 16 – 21, 2014 in Athens State Certifying Commission of the International Ukrainian School (IUS) of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine to the HellenicRepublic held annually half-year assessment of students` knowledge of foreign Ukrainian school institutions that operate in the Greek capital. In half-term assessment took part the pupils of Athens Ukrainian optional school, Sunday school of the Association of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Greece “Ukrainian - Hellenic Thought” and Athens Ukrainian Sunday School „Trembita”.

On January 19, 2014 at the premises of the Cultural and Information Center of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic by the IUS commission and teachers of the above mentioned schools has been conducted the first joint interim certification of the pupils of grades 9 and 11 of the Ukrainian schools in Athens.

In addition, within the framework of the IUS commission`s work in Athens were held the individual and group consultations for students and parents of Ukrainian schools in the Hellenic Republic, educational meetings with the participation of founding schools and teaching staff, the parent-teacher meetings, discussion of the  future cooperation between Embassy of Ukraine, IUS and Ukrainian schools in Greece. Ukrainian and SIU school of Greece, as well as providing methodological assistance to teachers.
