On January 27, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Embassy Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov met with the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Greece upon their request.

Ukrainian citizens have appealed to the Ambassador with the request to clarify the situation in Ukraine, as well as to convey to the Ukraine`s leadership concern over the situation in Ukraine on behalf of the Ukrainians living in Greece; wishing a peaceful settlement of the situation; a complete amnesty of the protesters; improvement of a number of laws which were adopted on January 16, 2014.

Ambassador gave to the members of the community clarifications, including the necessity to use all possible measures for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Ukraine on the basis of dialogue and termination of radical action that provoke a collision force and threaten the lives and health of citizens.

While the meeting the sides discussed urgent issues of cooperation with the community, first of all regarding the the consular services for citizens.
