On June 10, 2011, Rector of Taras Schevchenko National University of Kyiv, Mr. Leonid Hubersky, Principal of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University (Kyiv), Mr. Victor Andrushchenko, met in Athens with the Rector of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Mr. Theodosis Pelegrinis.

In the course of their meeting, the current state of Ukrainian-Greek collaboration in the area of education and prospect of intensification of the bilateral cooperation among the universities on the basis of the relevant agreements were discussed.

They agreed that it was advisability and possible to intensify interuniversity cooperation, as it pertains to teaching the Ukrainian language in the Department of Slavic Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, widening of the educational collaboration via exchanges of lecturers, students, as well as experts in library science, archival and museum activities, translation and publication by parties of Ukrainian and Greek literature, and holding international conferences.
