On May 16, 2014 at the Cultural and Information Centre of the Embassy of Ukraine in Athens has been held the literary and artistic event on the commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birthday of Great Poet.

The guests of event have been welcomed by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic H.E. Mr. V.Shkurov, who underlined the grate life and works of Shevchenko for the international community.

There was a performance of the prominent Ukrainian public and statesman, writer and publicist Mr. R.Lubkivskyi,  dedicated to the `Shevchenkiana`.

Representatives of the Association of Ukrainian Community `The Land of Storks` presented the literary and musical composition devoted to the Great Kobzar.

During the event was also presenter the documentary film of the National Television Company of Ukraine "Gene of the Freedom" (director - Alexander Kovsh, writer - Andrew Danilchenko)
