On May 22 – 30, 2014 the State Certifying Commission of the International Ukrainian School (IUS) of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic held the annual assessment of knowledge and the final state certification of the students of foreign Ukrainian school institutions that operate in the Greek capital.
As a result of certification the four students of the ninth grade and the eleven students of the eleventh grade of the schools of the Association of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Greece “Beregynia”, „Trembita” and “Ukrainian - Hellenic Thought” received the state certification.
The grand ceremony of the presentation of the Ukrainian official secondary education`s certificates and the ceremony of `Last Bell` took place in the premises of the Cultural-Information Center of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic on May 30, 2014.
The graduates and their parents were welcomed by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov, the Head of the State Certifying Commission, deputy Director of the IUS Mrs. Oleksandra Kirina, the Сhairpersons of Ukrainian diaspora societies „Trembita” – Mrs. Alla Lobach, "Beregynia" - Mrs. Marta Attikos, teacher of the "Ukrainian-Greek Thought" Mrs. Natalia Basenko, as well as the honorary guest of the event – a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine Mrs. Natalia Volobueva.
Among with the education`s certificates each graduates received a gift from the Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov – the ukrainian book with the memory inscription.
Students of the Ukrainian schools welcomed their comrades with the poems and song.
