On June 4, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov with the Embassy`s diplomats have hold a meeting with members of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Ukrainian Diaspora "Ukrainian- Greek Thought" led by the Head Mrs. G.Masliuk upon their request. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Greece, who represents the eastern regions of our country.

Ambassador of Ukraine V.Shkurov provided the necessary clarification regarding the political situation in Ukraine, the results of the presidential elections in Ukraine.

During the meeting they discussed the current situation in Ukraine. The representatives of the Ukrainian community expressed concerns about long armed conflict on the East of Ukraine and stressed the necessity to restore peace and stability in the region.

In addition, during the meeting was also discussed the issues of the Ukrainian education in Greece as well some aspects of the work of the Association "Ukrainian-Greek Thought".

After the meeting Embassy has sent the letter to the Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine.
