On June 26, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov participated at the International Conference “Parthenon. The integrity of a SymbolicMonument. The Role of Citizens. An International Campaign”, which was organized by the the Marianna V.Vardinoyannis Foundation under the auspices of the Minister of Culture of Greece Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulas and dedicated to the return of parts of the Parthenon Sculptures which are currently in the BritishMuseum to Greece.

As part of the event Ambassador V.Shkurov also had a brief conversation with the President of the Foundation Mrs. Marianna Vardinoyannis and Tourism Minister Mrs. Olga Kefalogianni regarding the current situation in Ukraine and the ways of the intensification of Ukrainian-Greek relations in the humanitatian sphere.
