Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic in cooperation with the Associations of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Greece “Beregynia”, „Trembita”, „Ukrainian Land of Storks” and “Ukrainian - Hellenic Thought” initialed a pilot project to support the citizens of Ukraine, which are hold in the penitentiary institutions of Greece.

In the course of the project were collected clothes, shoes and books, which are to be referred to Ukrainian citizens who are detained in the Greek cities Nafplio and Grevena.

In the framework of the project on July 15, 2014 the first targeted delivery with things and books has been transferred by the Embassy to the penitentiary institution of  Nafplio.

The necessary supplies and books are expected to be donated to the Ukrainian citizens detained in the penitentiary institution of Grevena soon.
