The Department's of Slavic Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
#264, Athens, July 30, 2014
To: Mr.Volodymyr Shkurov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic
Dear Mr. Ambassador!
On behalf of the Chairman and all memberships of the Department of Slavonic Studies we would like to heartily thank you once again for full support of our affair, especially in the provision of sponsorship funding. Without you help the further teaching of Ukrainian language at the Slavic Studies would be impossible.
We are very pleased that our student's interest in study of the Ukrainian language and culture is increasing every year. The Program of Ukrainian language meets the standards of the European program ALTE. So far, the Ukrainian language was taught to the scope of three hours per week. Answering to the need to improve the teaching effectiveness in the next academic year, we plan to increase the amount of weekly instruction in each course of three to six hours. So far as, this plan will assume an increase in costs of teaching, we hope of your support in the future.
Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Eleni Sterhiopulu,
Professor of the Department's of Slavic Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
