On December 17, 2014 at the premises of the Cultural and information center of the Embassy of Ukraine was held the final ceremony, dedicated to the held in Greece in 2014 Year of Taras Shevchenko.

During the event activists of the Ukrainian community in Greece and representatives of the Greek community who provided active assistance to the activities of the Embassy of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Great Poet in Greece were awarded with the honorary distinctions of Ukraine. 

As the part of the evening, the guests heard the singing of the chorus of the Association of Ukrainians in Greece “Ukrainian Land of Storks”, as well as the festive program, performed by the students of Ukrainian educational institutions in Greece.
