On May 8, 2015, at the Day of commemoration and reconciliation, the staff of the Embassy of Ukraine in Athens held a solemn ceremony of the laying flowers at the grave of the Soviet soldier, Mykola Shеvel`, at the military cemetery of soldiers of the allied troops of the anti-Hitler Coalition in Athens.

During the commemorative event was held a memorial service for the fallen during all wars.

The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the World War II.
