On May 26, 2015 at the Embassy of Ukraine in Athens was held a meeting with the delegation from Mariupol, which includs the Member of the Parliament of Ukraine Mr. S.Taruta, Chairman of the Federation of Greek Communities of Ukraine Mrs. O.Protsenko - Pichadzhi, the Mayor of the village  Sartana Mr. S.Mahsma, director of Agency for Development of the Azov region Mr. K.Batozsky, and the executive director of the NGO Initiative Groupe `Together` Ms. A.Khadzhynova.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Among the guests of the event were representatives of the Greek Parliament, the Greek Foreign Ministry, local government, diplomatic, business, educational and cultural circles, the media and the general public who had the opportunity to get latest information on events in eastern Ukraine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During the event, was presented a photo exhibition `Donbass on fire`,  documentary "Sartana", as well as the photo presentations `Greeks of Ukraine`, `Mariupol, Eastern District`,  `Volunteers`. At the end of the evening was sounded the Anthem of the Greeks of Ukraine performed by the famous Ukrainian singer of Greek origin, who was born in the village Sartana, Mrs. T.Katsy.

The event was organized in collaboration with the International Fund `Renaissance` and the Hellenic Foundation `Solidarity Now`.
