On August 12, 2010, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov met with the President of Greek-Ukrainian Association of Friendship and Development “Spilka” (Union) Kiriakos Tasiovasilis.

During the meeting the activities of the Association that has almost 1200 members, mostly Ukrainians residing on the Greek islands, were discussed.

The main attention was paid to the prospective of trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, twinning ties between Ukrainian and Greek cities, and also specific issues of protection of rights of Ukrainian citizens in Greece .
