On February 6, 2012 Ambassador of Ukraine to Hellenic Republic Volodymyr Shkurov met with Mr. Petros Eythymiou - the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Greek deputy of the Hellenic Parliament of the party Panhellenic social movement PASOK.
During the meeting the current state and the prospects of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Greece were discussed as well as cooperation within the OSCE, including the election of the new PA OSCE President in 2012 as well as Ukraine’s Chairmanship in OSCE in 2013. The current internal situations in Ukraine and Greece, Ukraine’s European integration process and general parameters of international observers’ participation in parliamentary elections in Ukraine in October 2012 were also discussed.
The Sides stressed on the traditionally friendly relations between the two states and the existence of significant potential in deepening cooperation between the parliaments as well as between the permanent delegations of the parliaments of two countries within the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
