On October 20, 2012, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov attended the award ceremony of Ukrainian tour operators "Travel Professional Award", which was held in Heraklion (Crete Island).

Congratulating the winners, H.E. Volodymyr Shkurov noted a significant contribution of Ukrainian tour operators to the development of Ukrainian-Greek cooperation in the tourism sphere, a noticeable increase in the number of tourists fromUkraine, who visitedGreecein 2012, as well as growing of the number of Greeks traveling toUkraine. In his speech, Ambassador also thanked the Governor of Crete Island Mr. Stavros Arnaoutakis, who supported the rest of 650 Ukrainian children onCrete Islandduring this summer.
