The rally "No negotiations with terrorists" took place in the center of Athens
20 November 2022 13:38

On November 19, hundreds of Ukrainians in Greece, together with Ruslana (Ruslana Lyzhychko) and the Ambassador of Ukraine Serhiy Shutenko, marched through the center of Athens and held a "No Negotiations with Terrorists" rally at the Syntagma (Constitution Square), where the Greek Parliament building is located.

Ruslana and Sergii Shutenko appealed to all the people present on the square with a call for military support for Ukraine and recognition of Russia as a terrorist country. The ambassador also recalled the the 9th anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, which was the first victorious battle of this war. Ruslana thanked the Ukrainians of Greece for their active position and noted that such actions are "also our weapon, which helps and contributes to speeding up the adoption of important political decisions."

At the end of the rally, the whole square sang together with Ruslana the famous song "Oh, red viburnum is in the meadow", which, thanks to the efforts of the Ukrainian community, was sung in Greek this time.

We would like to thank the community of Ukrainian women in Greece and the activists of the United Ukrainian Diaspora community in Greece for organizing the event.

Representatives of the Georgian, Iranian and Brazilian communities also took part in the action.
