On the occasion of honoring the victims of the Second World War and the Russian war in Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Hellenic Republic together with the Greek-Ukrainian Chamber and the Ukrainian community of Greece took part in a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the Military Cemetery in Alimos.
Today, as 80 years ago, Ukraine is fighting against total evil. As 80 years ago, Ukraine is fighting for its future, and that of all of Europe and the entire free world. Just as before, evil rushed to our cities and villages, so it does now; as it killed our people then, so it does now.
But, just as in the Second World War, we are not alone against evil. We fight against it together in the same way –with the entire free world. Together with the states and peoples who achieved a joint victory at that time. We rely on the united strength of free peoples and we are sure that together we will always be part of a free Europe that will not succumb to evil.
Eternal memory to all those who died in the Second World War! Glory to each and every one who fought against Nazism and won!
Glory to all who fight for Ukraine! Glory to all our heroes of different times, to whom we equally owe our lives!
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces!
