Boosting the bilateral cooperation in maritime sphere, on July 15, 2021, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Sergii Shutenko met with Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy of Greece Yannis Plakiotakis.

Issues of bilateral cooperation in the maritime sector were discussed, in particular the development of transport corridors between Ukraine and Greece, as well as participation in joint shipbuilding / ship repair projects.

 The Greek side was offered to invest in infrastructure projects in the maritime sector of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the issues of legal protection of Ukrainian citizens under the competence of the Greek Coast Guard were also discussed.
