On March 26, 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Volodymyr Shkurov received the delegation of the hierarchs of the Greek Orthodox Church led by the Primate, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos II.

In his speech, Ambassador Volodymyr Shkurov underlined the historical ties between the Ukrainian and Greek nations, described the possibilities of the development of bilateral cooperation in the current difficult conditions,  as well as has read to the audience congratulation of His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Volodymyr on the occasion of celebration the Day of Orthodoxy.

The issues of European integration of Ukraine, cooperation in humanitarian sphere, enhance the ties between the Orthodox Churches of Ukraine and Greece and rehabilitation the children from Ukraine in Greece were discussed during the event.
