On March 28, 2013 in the Greek city of Corinth Deputy Chairman of Sevastopol City State Administration Mr. Vladimir Arabadzhy held talks with the mayor of Corinth Mr. Alexandros Pnevmatikos, the head of the Chamber of Commerce Mr. Vasilis Nanopous, the members of the CCI of Corinth and the businessmen of the region.
The sides agreed to promote cooperation in the fields of trade, technology, tourism, culture and education. The Protocol on cooperation between Corinth and Sevastopol has been signed following the negotiations.
In the joint statement for the press the Corinth mayor Mr. A.Pnevmatikos and Deputy Chairman of Sevastopol City State Administration Mr. V.Arabadzhy confirmed their intentions to promote actively cooperation between the cities on the named areas, noted the potential of such cooperation and expressed support for Ukraine's European integration, including the Association Agreement and the establishment of a Free Trade Zone between Ukraine and the EU as an integral part of the Agreement. The Corinth Mayor thanked the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic for effective promotion the regional cooperation and expressed hope to support by Ukrainian diplomatic mission joint projects in the fields of trade, tourism and culture. V.Arabadzhi underlined the historical and spiritual ties between Ukraine and Greece and invited his Greek counterparts to take part in the events on the framework of celebration the 1025th Anniversary of Crhistianization of Kievan Rus.
