On March 13, 2012 H.E. Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov met with the Director General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Panayotis Zografos.

The Ambassador of Ukraine informed his interlocutor on political and economic situation in our country as well as about foreign policy priorities of Ukraine, including its European component.

The Director General for Political Affairs, in his turn, informed on the main efforts of Greece to overcome the financial crisis as well as the main foreign policy priorities of his country. He noted the traditionally friendly character of the Ukrainian-Greek relations and expressed support of the Greek Side of initialling an Association Agreement between EU and Ukraine within the scheduled time.

During the meeting the Sides also discussed the whole range of bilateral relations in the context of preparations for bilateral consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Ukraine and Greece. They expressed mutual confidence of the need to maintain in 2012 the high intensity of political dialogue between the two states that was given last year.
