On July 13, 2011 the 5th Session of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between the Hellenic Republic and Ukraine was held in Athens. The Ukrainian Side was headed by H.E. Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Mr. Volodymyr Korniienko, the Greek Side – H.E. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Dimitris Dollis.

In the framework of the abovementioned Session both Sides discussed important issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Hellenic Republic. In particular, both Sides exchanged information regarding economic development in their respective countries. Furthermore, Ukrainian and Greek experts that represent various governmental bodies discussed issues related to further development of cooperation in the area of investments as well as in the sphere of transport, shipbuilding, agriculture, energy, environment, tourism, consumer rights protection and constructions.

Following the Session the Heads of both Sides signed the Protocol in which all the outcomes of the discussions were conscientiously recorded and closed the 5th Session of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee with the concluding statements for local media representatives.
