On January 13, 2011, on the occasion of the new year feasts of Malanka and Vasyl, the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece hosted a costumed theatrical performance. The performers were a group of students of the Ukrainian facultative and Saturday schools associated with the Ukrainian Cultural-Educational Center, “Beregynia”, which functions under the auspices of the Greek Catholic Exarchate.

Each carol that the young carolers sang was greatly appreciated by the guests who came to the Ukrainian diplomatic mission to see the performance.

This cultural and educational event, which evidenced the devotion of young Ukrainians in Greece to the age-old traditions of the Ukrainian people, has become a wonderful holiday gift to the "Generous Eve" for the parents of the performers, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Greece, Ukrainian Embassy staff members and their children.
