On June 15, 2014, on a day of mouring, in the Church of the Holy Trinity on Aegina Island have been received a Memorial service for the fallen on June 14, 2014 the Ukrainian soldiers.

During the funeral service was honored the memory of all the soldiers who died defending the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and civilians who are victims of terrorists in eastern Ukraine.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic H.E. Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov with his wife, Embassy`s staff and their families, First Vice-President of the Ukrainian-Greek Chamber of Commerce Mr. G-N.Bouhas, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Greece as well as the numerous parishioners Church of the Holy Trinity participated at the Memory Service.

Over the Ukrainian diplomatic missions in Athens has been lowered the national flag of Ukraine.
