On August 12, 2014 Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic, had a working  meeting with leaders of Ukrainian-Greek Chamber of Commerce. Mr. John Polychronopoulos, President of the Ukrainian - Greek Chamber of Commerce,  Mr. Gerassimos-Nikolaos Chr. Bougas, First Vice-President of the Hellenic-Ukrainian Chamber, Mr. George Chassapodimos, Secretary General of the Hellenic-Ukrainian Chamber took part at the meeting.

Measures on commemorate the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, issues of strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Greece in the shipbuilding and shipping industries, as well as the preparation for the celebration in Odessa the 200th anniversary of the founding the Greek liberation organization "Filiki Eteria", scheduled for second half of this year, were discussed during the meeting.
