On August 15, 2014, Mr. Volodymyr Shkurov, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic, took part in Ukrainian Days and events on the occasion of the national holiday of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary on the Greek Island of Tinos, Cyclades.

The Ceremony of the presentation of the Facsimile Edition of the Ukrainian First Book - Peresopnytsia Gospel to His Eminence Dorotheos II (Polikandriotis), Chairman of Panhellenic Holy Foundation of Virgin Mary of Tinos, the Metropolitan of Syros, Tinos, Andros, Kea and Melos was held as part of the celebration, were attended by official representatives of the Greek Church and executive power.

The divine service in honor of Ukraine was held in the Church of Virgin Mary of Tinos.

Ukraine was presented by the Exhibition of Art and Icon-painting works of famous Ukrainian artists, masters of iconography painters, such as Mrs. Natalia Volobueva, Mrs. Elena Dumbadze  and Mrs. Natalia Hladovska at the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary in Tinos. The Exhibition went off with a great success and provided an opportunity to acquaint with masterpieces of modern Ukrainian art and iconography for many residents and visitors.

Events within the Days of Ukraine at the Tinos Island organized by the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic with the assistance and participation of the Publishing House "ADEF-Ukraine", headed by Mr. Igor Shpak, Director, and Mrs. Henrietta Lebedeva, Manager of the Art Project "ArtIcons of Ukraine".

The Administrative Committee of the Panhellenic Holy Foundation of Virgin Mary of Tinos, Tinos Cultural Foundation, as well as, the Commercial, Professional and Industry Association of Tinos and Golden Star Ferries provided assistance on the Greek Side.
