In according to the Presidential Law 690/2014 of August 27, 2014 the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will take place on October 26, 2014.
Realizing the voting rights for the citizens of Ukraine, residing or staying abroad, will be ensured by their inclusion in the list of voters at the respective polling stations abroad.
In voting can participate the citizens of Ukraine, which are included in the list of voters in the appropriate polling stations on the basis of a valid passport.
For inclusion in the voter list you can:
- Get consulate registration (details at: http://greece.mfa.gov.ua/ua/consular-affairs/services/accounting);
- Apply personally Zayava_vybory.pdf to the Embassy of Ukraine in Greece or the Consulate General of Ukraine in the Thessaloniki for inclusion in the State Register of Voters or change voting address (if included to the voter list elsewhere);
- From October 13, 2014 apply personally for inclusion in the voter list to the appropriate election commission in Athens or in the Thessaloniki.
Also please be noted, that due to the extremely short time for compiling the list of voters, established by the provisions of the Ukrainian legislation, the relevant application must be submitted by voters in advance. Deadline for the applications - October 20, 2014.
Remain, that the members of the election commission of the foreign polling station 900016 from the October 13th, 2014 (daily, from 10.00 to 20.00) at the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic (2, St. Delta Str, Philothei, 15237, Athens) hold a duty in the preparatory process for the election.
We draw attention to the necessity for the citizens of Ukraine to check the validity of their documents (passports) and advance to take care of their updates.
Please note that on the day of elections (October 26, 2014) to the updated list of voters at polling stations may be amended only correct inaccuracies and technical misprints, and does not provide inclusion of the new voters.
