On October 8, 2010, a bilateral meeting between the Ambassador of Ukraine in Greece Volodymyr Shkurov and Secretary General of Greek Foreign Ministry Ambassador Yannis-Alexis Zepos was held.

During the meeting Greek Side was briefed about political situation in Ukraine, the issues of intensifying Ukrainian-Greek political and security cooperation were discussed.

The conversation touched on Greece' support to Ukraine's European aspirations, in particular promotion of the Association Agreement conclusion, free trade area creation, and EU visa liberalization for citizens of Ukraine as well as intensification of Ukraine-NATO relations.

Greek Side reiterated its position of supporting European integration course of Ukraine, and NATO-Ukraine cooperation.

The two Sides also discussed the prospective of political consultations between Foreign Ministries until the end of this year.
