H.E. Volodymyr Shkurov, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic, visited island of Tinos on the formal invitation of the Chamber of Commerce of Tinos.

In the framework of the visit, the Ambassador met with Mr. Andreas Tsimekis, President of the Chamber, Mr. Simos Orfanos, Mayor of Tinos and with the leaders of Catholic and Orthodox Christian communities and citizens of Ukraine who live and work in island of Tinos.

During the discussions it was agreed to organize the visit of a group of entrepreneurs from Tinos to Ukraine as well as to organize joint presentation of Greek and Ukrainian artists in the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Ukraine.

In addition, the concrete ways of further development of cooperation in the sphere of pilgrimage tourism and in humanitarian sphere were thoroughly discussed with Tinos’ church authorities.

Finally, the Ambassador gave interview to Greek mass media regarding the outcomes of his visit.
