On May 17-19, 2012 the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Governor of Kyiv region Mr. Anatoliy Prysyazhnyuk visited the Greek island of Crete.

The program of stay of the delegation included talks with the Governor of Crete island Mr. Stavros Arnaoutakis, regional and local authorities of the island, and discussion of the ways of intensification of regional cooperation in the spheres of trade-economic cooperation, culture and tourism.

During the visit the relevant bilateral Agreement on cooperation in trade-economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres between Kyiv Region State Administration of Ukraine and Regional Authority of Crete of the Hellenic Republic was signed on May 18 by the governors of Kyiv region and Crete island.

Together with the Ukrainian delegation of Kyiv region a group of 65 Ukrainian children has arrived to the island of Crete for rest and recreation.
