On December 13, Ambassador of Ukraine Sergii Shutenko met with A-5 Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic Dimitrios Karabalis.
The interlocutors discussed the current security situation in Donbas, in particular the latest developments in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and Ukraine's latest steps towards its peaceful settlement.
The Ambassador of Ukraine thanked the Greek side for supporting the UN General Assembly resolution "Problem of the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine, as well as parts of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov" and expressed hope that Greece would take a consistent position in the context of voting on the UN GA resolution “Human rights situation in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine”.
The parties discussed political and security bilateral issues as well as cooperation of Ukraine with Greece within the EU and NATO.
