Ambassador of Ukraine Serhii Shutenko met with the Minister of Migration and Asylum of the Greek Republic Dimitris Keridis and discussed the most pressing issues of the Ukrainians with the status of temporary protection in Greece.
The parties exchanged opinions regarding the next steps of cooperation regarding the protection and assistance of those who were forced to leave the territory of Ukraine due to Russia's unprovoked aggression against our country.
Also,
the Ambassador of Ukraine thanked Greece for the decision to extend the temporary protection status until March 4, 2024.
The implementation of important humanitarian projects, identified as priorities by the heads of both states during the visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Greece on August 21-22 this year, was discussed as well.
Taking the opportunity, the ambassador noted the consistent and unchanging support that Greece has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the war, and thanked the Ukrainian citizens for their help.
