On March 5 - 6 , 2013 in Athens was held the meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Hellenic Transport Committee.
The Committee discussed the Ukrainian - Greek cooperation in the field of international road transport. It was agreed on a substantial increase to 3,500 permits for bilateral cargo and 200 passenger transportation between the two countries. Both sides underlined that the soonest signing of a Free Trade Zone Agreement between Ukraine and the EU will contribute to, including, the development of Ukrainian – Greek cooperation in the field of road transportation.
These arrangements have been consolidated in the Protocol of the meeting, signed from the Ukrainian side by the Director of the Department of Road Transport in the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine D.V.Petuhov and from the Greek side by the Director of the Freight Transport Directorate of the Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, Infrastructure, Transport and Networks of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. T. Papatriantafyllou.
