On August 23, 2014 the Embassy of Ukraine in Athens hosted a solemn ceremony to mark the Day of State Flag of Ukraine, which was attended by diplomats of the Embassy and the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Greece.

With the performance of the Ukrainian National Anthem the raising of Ukraine`s State Flag has taken place. Participants of the ceremony laid flowers at the bust of the Great Kobzar, built at the Ukrainian Diplomatic mission.

During the event was noted the role and value of the symbol of Ukraine – State Flag – in the long history of the Ukrainian State – for the approval of national identity, political independence, unity and democratic development of Ukraine.
