On January 21, 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine to Hellenic Republic Volodymyr Shkurov met with Mr. Petros Euthimiou - the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and Greek deputy of the Hellenic Parliament of the ruling party Panhellenic social movement PASOK.
During the meeting the current state and the prospects of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Greece were discussed as well as cooperation within the OSCE, including the preparation of the winter session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on 24-25 February 2011 and Ukraine’s chairmanship in OSCE in 2013. The cooperation in the field of improving the electoral legislation of Ukraine was also discussed.
The Sides stressed on the traditionally friendly relations between the two states and the existence of significant potential in deepening cooperation between the parliaments as well as between the permanent delegations of the parliaments of the two countries within the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
